- This was a Kauri Management Unit file. KMU was dismantled about 1984 and a number of files were brought to FRI by Trevor Cooper. Larger scale planting of kauri was done on State Forest land, often in manuka on poor sites. Results were never adequately assessed. Better growth on farmland.
