- Folder labelled 'Tihoi'. Enrichment planting with 3-tree clusters by log extraction tracks and on disturbed soil in canopy gaps. Growth and survival data for 4-6 years with seedling release. Sample measurement of totara and tanekaha planted in 1979 after partial logging. Progress reports written 1981, 1982, 1983 (some plantings in 1977?). Tanekaha 'looking extremely good' after 4 years and some totara, though totara generally have straggly habit, even semi-prostrate, but don't seem to be affected by insect defoliation recorded previously. Survival 90-95% after 4 years; mean annual height increment 10 cm for totara and 21 cm for tanekaha (mean height 150 cm with some over 2m. Planted shrub hardwoods heavily browsed by rabbits, deer, ?possums.

- Tihoi Forest was included in Pureora Forest Park, 1978. A710, A810, R597 cover enrichment in partially logged forest, open sites, cutover forest. This forest has many pole podocarps, often beneath senescent matai, showing new cycle of forest renewal. Near upper altitude for tanekaha and totara (550-600m). Dense pole stands of tanekaha and groups of pole toatoa in vicinity - Waimonoa Ecological Area
