At 3 months after planting, animal damage by possums and caterpillars was recorded on 5% (deer and goats are also in area). Copy of report by K. Knight, January 1983, on evaluation of nutrient status of two types of nursery stock (Workplan 20055, RO 1862). File note by D Bergin dated 30.5.86 (WP IFM 9/55) on method of applying fertiliser 2 years after planting.
