- Measurement data for podocarps planted in groups in A) beneath poisoned tree ferms, 1959 in Blocks B, C; B) in logged clearings in Block B. Folder A contains data for 1961, 1963. Folder B contains data for totara and hkahikatea in logged gaps to 1980. Project Record of results over 20 years by G Steward.

- General Note
- Area visited by Beveridge, Steward and Smale in 2005: Podocarps planted in canopy gaps are well established but natural regeneration is so prominent in logged gaps and along extraction tracks (mainly rimu) that planting was not required (in hindsight). Logged and disturbed areas are thus 'enriched'; only rare natural regeneration of totara, nearly all 'pioneer' old totara were fallen. Situation contracts strongly with comparable Whirinaki trial where natural regeneration has not developed.Trial area is now within Waipapa Ecological Area and is a valuable long term trial for assessing forest dynamics.
