- Index to 10 tagged sections, but there is little of research value to Tane's Tree Trust. There is a 2p report by the District Manager dated 1.7.60 with photo of rimu regeneration beneath pole mountain beech that occurs over 450 acres on terraces north of the Makarora River. A permanent sample plot established in 1951 and re-measured (number not given, tag 10). Memo by DS Preest 2.10.61 refers to group planting trial with podocarps in Makaroro logged forest, beneath dying wineberry (25 acres underplanted 1961-64, ref diary notes Beveridge 1964). Tag 4 contains 3p file note dated 28.7.81 on establishing podocarps in Waitaanga State Forest.

- Opiki kahikatea plantation and some successful totara plantations or natural stands of totara have been measured in recent years. Some plots could be visited by Trust volunteers for general appraisal and GPS location.
