- Report for Rotorua District Council, 17pp, incl plans (1997) 'The kahikatea stand near Rotorua airport'. The history and significance of this stand is given and the ecological characteristics of kahikatea are outlined. This stand is threatened by height restrictions in the airport flight path as trees are 22 - 26m in height. The report has 32 references relevant to kahikatea. Since the report was written a total of 400 trees have been topped and their growth response is being monitored (Pers comm Greg Steward).
