- Register sheet, location plans and workplan 22.6.79 (T Cooper) "Establishment of Kauri: timing and rate of fertiliser application trial". Brief account of past work with kauri fertiliser trials. This plan has a brief account of past work with kauri fertiliser trials: potted kauri in the nursery have shown a good response to fertilisers but 'generally poor and inconclusive results (have been) obtained in field fertiliser trials', attributed to factors such as site and tree stock variability, weed control, trial design and timing of fertiliser application. Three rates of Magamp and one of diammonium phosphate, with different application times were tried in the current trial, later visited by FRI scientists (G. Oliver, H. Madgwick) with diary notes.

- Reference
- Refer ASP 633/2 response of potted kauri seedlings to a fertiliser mix. Reference to A946 - site preparation. Last entry dated 27.1.87 in FRI 28/5/1.
- General Note
- Last entry is by D Bergin dated 27.1.87 in FRI 28/5/1. The existence of data sheets and print outs of results are recorded but they are not in this folder. Overall results were negative: large fertiliser doses affected survival and kauri height growth response was not significant.
