- Items on seed, nursery, planting; diary notes on selective logging, injurious agents, physiology. First unmrked folder (possibly left by George Pardy, 1992) contains spare copies of published and unpublished papers on indigenous species including kauri. Includes work plans. Items re sample plot A448/3. Folder K-B on research and management, contains some interesting and still valid comments, discussions and reported results. Diary notes, 2pp, on visit to kauri forests in Coromandel and Great Barrier, 14-18.11.77 by EH Bunn, AE Beveridge, J Halkett and others. Kauri planting from 1950. Kauri planting beneath kanuka without releasing in 1950 had mainly survived at 1-3m height and for 27 years. Folder K-H contains copies of second crop kauri evaluation by L Gibson; utilisation report 10. Residual forest condition following helicopter logging, incl photos(Halkett et al 1980).

- Proposals for kauri research are out of date, but older plantings were never adequately assessed. Compilation of cross references would be useful for establishment trials.
