Source

Future Work
Growth plot and plantation to be retained indefinitely. First open planting by NZFS on previous farmland in valley. Latest study has been on nutrient levels in kauri foliage.
Reference
10/2/1/6, 31/0/1, 31/2/2. Internal report by G Oliver
General Note
Conclusions of Oliver's report (No.20): trees with better growth showed higher concentrations of N, K and Cu. Growth on this site may be limited by nutrient supply (growth of plantation variable with site). Folder has diary notes of Oliver's visit to Northland Kauri Forest, 1980 (FS 10/5/1)
