- 2 folders. The fullest account of establishing two seed orchards near Waipoua Forest HQ in 1956 is given in folder 2, with duplication of manuscript and other data from folder 1. Summaries of work are given by Lloyd in Kaikohe in files 28/2/0/11 (9.6.71) and SP A431/4 (25.10.72). Techniques for grafting kauri were developed by I Thulin in 1956. Techniques are illustrated in the folders and full details and location plans given for Waipoua procedures. Orchards were neglected for many years but were inspected by G Steward in 2004.Folder 2 contains letter from G Nikles, Dept of Forestry, Queensland (21.12.71) re scions of Araucaria from bark pieces.
