- Summary report of growth rate surveys in Timerland West Coast Limited beech resource. The survey's provide accurate estimates of beech growth rates needed for growth modelling. A total of 1061 trees and 312 seedling samples were drawn from 152 plots over the three working circles. Tree and seedling growth was measured by annual growth rings in samples. The data collection (sample size, sample plot placement and design, selection of samples and measurement of growth rate) and analysis and results (adjusting growth rates, tree diameter growth and seedling height growth) and discussion are contained.
