- 3 folders. Folders for A217 and A219 contain little more than the register sheets and locality plans, referring to the objectives of trials planned by F Morrison in 1958 on nursery raising of kauri, or methods of planting out. Sample Plot 218 on planting kauri beneath Pinus muricata has a report and numerical data by R Lloyd (20.10.72) and an appendix referring to work of 'the late Frank Morrison" including a statement by him to the 1958 kauri conference. Kauri seedlings were planted in 1958 beneath a stand of poison-thinned Pinus muricata, on sandy soil. After 14 years (measured 1972) survival was over 90%. Height of 2 and 3 year old kauri planting stock averaged 1-2m.
