- PR161 (F T Morrison) undated but about 1951 is indexed in National Forestry Library. A number of tropical or subtropical Agathis and Araucaria species were raised from seed in the Waipoua nursery and subsequently planted in regrowth from an early burn in the southern part of Waipoua Forest. This later became a sanctuary, leading to removal of all exotic Araucariaceae by the Waipoua Forest Trust managed by Stephen King. Agathis robusta (Queensland kauri) was the main surviving Agathis sp when measured and felled in 2001. Notes attached after visit by A E Beveridge March 2002.

- General Note
- Agathis robusta is widely planted in Auckland and a number of tropical agathis are growing well in Auckland suburban gardens and the Auckland Regional Botanic Gardens. Several specimens tentatively identified as Agathis macrophylla are located near Waipoua HQ (30cm dia tree in 2002).
