- In leverarch File are plan showing plot layout, stocking and measurements of plots from period 1974 to 1984 when the trial was established; includes master summary sheet of all plots. In A4 box are records made since the trial was resurrected in 2002. Included are plot measurements for 2002 & 2007, 1974 - 84 diary notes, individual plot sheets, worksheets with calculations re kauri & nurse growth. Growth in Ac melanoxylon spacing trial (was a subsiduary trial looking at Acacia spacing) and plot sheets on the invasion of native species into the trial area since trial was established. Preliminary findings indicate that Ac. Melanoxylon is a good nurse; Robinia should not be used because of suckering; P elliottii has an effect but must be removed before canopy closure; P radiata is a poor nurse, probably because its high water demand limits water availability to kauri. Kanuka also probably does this as kauri growth under kanuka is not as good as under the other species tested.

- A programme for the future management of this site should be devised. It would probably be a good continuous cover trial -if ARC Parks would agree
