- Title of folder is "RO 1072, Whirinaki, Cpt 156. Enrichment planting 15 years after selective logging'. Contents include register sheet for S.P. RO1072, location plan, work plan proposal and work plan which sets out objectives and context of the field experiment. Natural podocarp regeneration was very sparse and undeveloped before 1961 partial logging and 15 years later after canopy gaps had been filled by dense growth of wineberry. Wineberry was starting to die back in 1976 when this trial was intended to supplement natural regeneration by cutting gaps in wineberry and planting. A project report on poor results was written by G. Pardy but is not enclosed in this file. A work plan for a regeneration survey by Brenda Veale is enclosed and a copy of her project record 1170 (possibly a draft version). Folder contains a useful diary note on field inspection of several planting trials, dated June 1984, with comment on browsing damage to podocarps and reference to growth inside and outside exclosures.
