Studies of selection management, salvage loging, tree mortality, forest structure, regeneration assessments, management trials. Expression of political pressures in late 1970s when environmentals were confronted by environmentalists, many tensions and discussions - cease all logging (1984) or have controlled partial logging and salvaging of fallen trees (to 1987). Also covers enrichment trials in selectively-logged forest, exclosure plots to assess animal damage. Early work by Cruttwell and Cameron on podocarp ages (large trees), pole podocarp stands.
