- Dozens of folders containing thousands of data sheets. Both field and office copies of sample plot records (Area planted 1959/61). Bundles of data sheets for remeasurements from 1962-1987, at intervals of several years. 34,000 nursery-raised podocarps planted in groups, lines or lanes, in residual cutover forest of tawa/kamahi/Ixerba. Podocarps logged up to 1946. Sites for planting made by hand felling or tractor to create canopy gaps. Trial was established by D J Preest, and assessed and reported mainly by G F Pardy (ex. FRI) and DOC.

- General Note
- Area is now in Patetere Conservation Area, managed by DOC since 1987. QE-II covenant from 2002. Exotic 'nurse' mainly died or may be killed standing; a few eucalypts survive. Best rimu, kahikatea, totara now emerging at heights of 1-15 m. and area has been returned to well-established dense podocarp forest. All project records and articles annotated fully be Beveridge for Mamaku Bibliography, for publication by DOC in 2007.
