Data for 1978 assessment of regeneration along main logging track - patchy but abundant and developed since selective logging in 1961. All logging in Pureora ceased c.1980, and in North Island state forests by 1984. Folder has inspection notes for 1965 guided visit and extract from 1973 FRI Annual Report. Possums had impact on palatable species from mid 1970s. Situation changes. Context of trials indicated.
