- Locality plan. Register sheet 1965 and final report by D McKenzie (Forester KMU, Kaikohe) received at FRI in 1986 as part of a 1984 review of kauri plots. Larger, naturally regenerated kauri (large poles) were logged in 1965. Object of plot was to record growth response of smaller kauri released from overtopping. 46 trees, mainly kauri, tagged and measured for diameter and height in 1965 and 1970. Periodic diameter increment 0.5 cm/yr; height increment 7cm/yr. Height measurements in 1981 indicate decrease in height (due to dieback?).
