- Blue ringbinder with yellow letters 'Russell Forest': appears to be Trevor Cooper's own file sent from the KMU. Contains miscellaneous correspondence and some measurements of early kauri planting 1950-63 and later planting 1978-82. Rimu planted 1981, measured 1986 - data in memo dated 21.86 (sic) in KMU file 28/2/0. Contents roughly indexed. Cooper (2.4.85) refers to new kauri policy and amended procedure for planting in groups of 3-5 seedlings at intervals of about 10m. See SP906 for response of kauri to site conditions (FRI 12). Recorded (21..9.84) that 350,000 kauri were planted on 800ha in Northland. Good concise account of Russell Forest management history (undated, but possible 1986 by Cooper).
