- Content
- Maps and plans. Two drawers filled with data, publications and reports compiled by G Steward. Established 1979 as last of 5 CNI selection management trials controlled by FRI. Covers four blocks - group felling, single tree felling, control, silvicultural block (best crowned trees retained). Dense podocarp/tawa forest - logged patches planted with podocarps in 1979. Dense wineberry invaded, died and collapsed beneath timber tangles. Podocarps required release 10-15 years after planting.

- Future Work
- G Steward is continuing assessments of tree mortality, tawa growth, and performance of planted podocarps and natural regeneration.
- General Note
- Valuable continuing trial where forest structure has been assessed in detail. Can provide insight into forest dynamics.
