- Kauri seedlings older than 12 months cannot stand any frost during their active growth period. However dry seed, germinating seed and seedlings up to 9 months old can withstand temperatures below freezing for at least 3 hours. Sudden, short temperatures drops probably do not have a significant affect on growth.
