- Folder No.1 records the transfer of sample plot A174/1-3 from FRI control to KMU control with sample plot No. R1823/1-3 from 27.7.82. File Nos. FRI 25/10, 25/74/3, 25/74/5 KMU 31/1/1. Main contents of this folder refer to A174. Growth data for 3 subplots established 1957/58 and remeasured 1963, 1968, 1975. Copies of data sent to KMU 1975. Neighbouring forest logged for kauri and some beech in 1903, giving rise to 'second crop' kauri and beech. Three plots of c. 0.1 ha. Perceptive diary notes by R Cameron and D Preest, 4.2.57 to 9.2.57. Growth summarised by Beekhuis, 12.11.75. Thinning methods and aims outlined in 1959 (ex 1958 kauri conference). Red folders entitled A174/1 and 174/2 have all data for measurements from 1957 to 1996. Red ringbinder has 1975 data for A174/1 and A174/2; red spring-clip folder has data for abandoned subplot 174/3.
