- Only item in folder A660 is a workplan by Halkett dated 5.9.75 comprising text with tables and graphs, 16pp, tables in appendix. Objective was to develop a thinning prescription for second growth kauri stands after constructing a thinning model for a normal all-aged stand, and summarising and analysing current and past kauri thinning trials. Tables list sample plots, indicating response to thinning and give growth data, also data for a normal all-aged kauri pole stand (unthinned). Production thinning was done over 5.3 ha of Cmpt 26, Russell Forest (SPA 414). Thinning operations were to be initiated in Glenbervie Forest.
